10-13 Fartleking Friday
We ran this improvisationally run on Friday. It went pretty well. We warmed up for 15 minutes, and we went north on spruce street instead of south. It was pretty dang invigorating because I have never ran up there before. In the Fartlek, Travis and I kept the surge and rest lengths pretty consistent the whole time. We ran about 1 minute surges and 1 minute rests each time. I prolonged some of the rests to about 1:15 for some of them. It felt hard. The last few my legs were starting to die, but I just tried to push as hard as I could through it. It went well. That took about 20 minutes. We then warmed down for about 7 minutes. I kind of like the fact that it is an improvised workout.
