The Second Battle: Tugman State Park District Preview

Well, I'd say this run worked out pretty well. I was pretty happy with my time, 19:02, which was a 21 second pr. Nice to get that this early in the season. My first mile was pretty darn fast, at 5:45. I think I should shoot for around 6 in the future. I felt a little more tired than for road, lake, and dune. My stomach was bothering me a little bit. I'll just have to adjust what I eat. My second mile split was right at 12, so about a 6:20 second mile. It was a pretty consistent run, though. I did have a little mishap at the end where I tried to turn in to the finish too early. That may have cost me 19 minutes. I got beaten by two guys who always seem to chronically beat me by just little bit. These two guys were Mike Lowry from SU and Blake Larkin from Bandon. Oh well. I didn't have much of a kick at the end. Hopefully I can build that up over the season. Overall, I was pretty happy with the run. We also did pretty well as a team. I think we can turn the table on North Bend. It's still early. I'm happy with this race.
